License suspension in the wolf zone

Last autumn, the government decided to allow the felling of wolves within what is called the wolf zone, areas the authorities have decided that we must have wolves. But in order to keep the wolf population down, it was decided to shoot eight wolves in this area, inside the wolf zone. The hunt, or license suspension as it is called, started on 1 January. But in the forests in the far east of Akershus there were not only hunters this first week of January. Six activists were also on hand to thwart the hunt.
